Questions & answers

Frequently asked questions

We've gathered answers to our patients' most common questions. If yours isn't here — write to us or call.

Your first visit

What does the first visit include?

A conversation about your concerns and expectations, a thorough examination and a discussion of possible next steps. The goal is a clear picture before any treatment is planned.

What should I bring?

If you have previous X-rays, records from other treatment or a list of medication you take — bring them. They're not required, but they help complete the picture.

Will treatment start at the first visit?

Usually not, unless you want it and the case allows it. We first build a diagnosis and a plan; treatment starts when you're informed and ready. With acute pain, of course, we help straight away.

Appointments

How do I book an appointment?

Online through this site, by phone, or via the enquiry form. Online booking shows real available slots.

Can I cancel or reschedule?

Yes. Use the link in your confirmation or call us. We appreciate at least one working day's notice so the slot can go to another patient.

When is the clinic open?

Tuesday to Friday, 10:00 to 18:00.

Dental anxiety

I'm anxious about the dentist. How will you help?

Tell us openly — it's more common than you might think. We work at your pace, explain each step in advance and stop whenever you ask. Nothing happens without your agreement.

Can we just talk first, without an examination?

Of course. The first meeting can be just a conversation and a look, without any procedures, if that feels more comfortable.

Planning and stages

How much does treatment cost?

Costs depend on the individual case and are determined after an examination and diagnostics. Before any treatment starts you receive a clear plan with the stages and the cost.

Can treatment be split into stages?

Yes. The plan sequences treatment by priority and can be spread over time in a way that works for you — urgent and important things first.

Can the plan change during treatment?

Sometimes new findings emerge during treatment. In that case we stop, explain what we've found and discuss adjustments together before continuing.

Cleaning and prevention

How often should I come for a check-up?

For most people — every 6 to 12 months. The right interval for you is agreed based on the condition of your teeth and gums.

Does calculus removal hurt?

Most patients tolerate it well. With more sensitive teeth we work more gently — tell us if you feel discomfort.

Treatment and restorations

Is treatment painful?

Modern anaesthesia allows most procedures to be carried out without pain. We work gently and monitor how you feel throughout. Complete painlessness can't honestly be promised, but discomfort can be kept to a minimum.

How long does a filling last?

It depends on its size, position and your hygiene. Fillings aren't permanent — regular check-ups let us monitor them and renew them in good time.

When is a crown needed instead of a filling?

When the damage is too extensive for the tooth to hold a stable filling — for example after root canal treatment or with large old restorations. The assessment is individual.

Urgent problems

I have severe toothache. What should I do?

Contact us as early as possible during opening hours — we try to see urgent cases the same day. With severe swelling, difficulty breathing or swallowing, or facial trauma, seek emergency care immediately or call 112.

I knocked out / broke a tooth in an accident. What should I do?

Contact us immediately. For a fully knocked-out permanent tooth, time is critical — if possible, place the tooth in a cup of milk or saline and come straight away.

International patients

Do you speak English?

Yes — examinations and all communication can be conducted in English.

Can I get documentation of my treatment?

Yes — on request you'll receive information about the treatment performed, which you can share with your dentist in another country.
